Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you have plans to add grades in the future?

As the Lord provides the resources and interested families, we plan to add at least one grade per year. If the right situation presents itself, we will consider adding more than one grade at a time. Our long-term goal is to be a full K-12 school.

  • Why the name Coram Deo Academy?

Coram Deo is a Latin phrase that means “in the presence of God” or “before the face of God.” To live coram Deo then, means we should go about our daily tasks aware of His presence, under His authority, and for His glory. So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (I Cor. 10:31). At Coram Deo Academy our aim is that children grow in their understanding that we are living sacrifices meant to glorify the Lord in everything: school, home, work, friendships, chores, etc. We are to live coram Deo…before the face of God.

  • Is Coram Deo Academy run by a church?

Coram Deo Academy is an independent, tax exempt organization with the stated purpose of "partnering with families to provide a Christian education to children." We envision a close relationship with local churches and the school will initially use facilities at Emmanuel Bible Church, but we are not governed or operated by a church.
